There’s a better way to roof Cedar rapids buildings.
ENCOR works with Cedar Rapids property managers and facilities teams who know the difference between a roofing contractor and a roofing partner.
Cedar Rapids has been through decades of industrial output that put real wear on commercial properties. ENCOR's approach is built for that mindset: assess honestly, recommend what's warranted, and stay in the picture.
The August 2020 derecho hit Cedar Rapids with sustained winds recorded above 100 mph — one of the most destructive straight-line wind events in Iowa history. The commercial corridor along Collins Road NE, the industrial properties near the Airport and on 16th Avenue SW, and the downtown office buildings on First and Second Avenue all sustained documented roofing damage. Many properties repaired or replaced roofing systems in 2020 and 2021, and those systems are now entering the window where first-generation maintenance decisions need to be made. Properties rebuilt after the 2008 flood — particularly in the Czech Village area and along the First Avenue commercial corridor — are also carrying aging roofing systems that warrant assessment. Cedar Rapids commercial permits run through the City's Building Services Division, which requires a licensed contractor for commercial work. ENCOR holds current Iowa contractor licensing.
